Mr. Gibbs is currently an investor, who retired from his law practice on January 1, 2010. He previously represented First Republic from its inception through the end of 2009 and was a partner in the law firm of White & Case LLP, where he had a broad-based corporate legal practice with substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions, securitizations, real estate, private equity and banking transactions.
